Exhibition - Path to the Paralympic Games

From Stoke Mandeville to the London 2012 Paralympic Games

During August and September 2012, the project showcased the history of the development of the Paralympic Games, from the early days at Stoke Mandeville through to London 2012 in an exciting exhibition held at Stoke Mandeville Stadium.

Using the archive collections that form the basis of the Mandeville Legacy project and material from a number of individual Paralympians, the exhibition followed the journey of the development of the Paralympic Games from 1948 to 2012.  Using photographs, selected artifacts and films, different aspects of the Mandeville Legacy project were highlighted.

The exhibition will be reproduced here in due course.
